About

Soph Grey is an arts worker and emerging creative based in Walyalup (Fremantle) with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Curtin University. Interested in the experimentation and fusion of both two- and three-dimensional mediums, Grey explores connections to home by capturing the remnants of everyday practices. Her paintings and photographs depict the still lives and interior scenes of shared living spaces and celebrate life in her current generation. In her most recent work, detailed abstract drawings zoom in on the tiny worlds within private dwellings that are inhabited by the lively creatures we coexist with. As an artist, Grey aims to reveal an underlying narrative behind the spaces we occupy and objects we interact with by paying close attention to the small pockets of liveliness embedded within our unique mannerisms and unconscious movements.
